We introduce to you our founder, and one of our Camden County and Golden Isles drivers, Edward.
Edward retired at the age of 55 and moved to The Golden Isles of Georgia from Atlanta in 2014. In 2016, Edward decided to start driving for Uber as a side gig to see what this new craze was all about. Edward was one of the first Uber drivers in the area, and after conducting over 3000 rides, he realized there were gaps in Uber’s services and they paid very low rates to drivers who put lots of miles and wear and tear on their personal vehicles. Edward began looking for software he could adapt to a new style of rideshare company, essentially creating a concierge rideshare platform. A study of the area’s transportation industry showed that there was access to either traditional cab services or very expensive limo services. But it was hard to find a model that offered newer vehicles and concierge services combined with a willingness to go anywhere and make a reservation by appointment through a website or state-of-the-art mobile phone app. Hence, EDWARD Transportation was born.

We introduce to you our first Team Member from St. Mary’s Georgia. Paula was actually first a customer. Here is her story, in her own words.
“I became acquainted with Edward Transportation several years ago as a client. Since my flight schedule seemed so unpredictable, I didn’t want my husband or a friend sitting at the airport late at night. I remember speaking to Ed after I made my reservation and asking how his business worked. Thinking that sounded like fun I said, “I may like to do this.” Well, fast forward a few years and after more reservations for myself and family members and spending most of my time playing pickleball, here I am. The thing I like about being a concierge driver is that each ride and client is different, but all appreciate attention to detail and good service. Prior to EDWARD, I have been in situations where I have arranged transportation, landed at the airport and had to run from one exit to another, asking the driver where he was and what he looked like. We make sure our client has as much information as possible before we pick them up and that eliminates any extra stress in the travel process.”
